Carpet & upholstery cleaning FAQ’S
Here are some of the questions we’re most frequently asked about our carpet and upholstery cleaning services.
How often should I have my carpets and upholstery cleaned?
How often you should have your carpets and upholstery professionally cleaned will depend on various factors.
Generally, we believe carpets and fabrics benefit from a professional clean every 6-18 months.
If you have children and pets then we’d recommend a professional clean as often as every 6 months.
Our professional cleaning process removes the abrasive particles that will degrade your carpets and furnishings, extending their lifespan and saving significant money on replacements.
How long will it take my carpets and upholstery to dry?
Drying times vary depending on the machinery used, ventilation and humidity.
At Clean Rescue, we pride ourselves on achieveing industry-leading dry times – usually within 30 minutes!
This means you’ll be back on your carpets as we drive away.
Do I need to move my furniture out of the rooms?
No, we can take care of moving any furniture for you.
Usually, furniture can be repositioned as we carry out the cleaning process.
We simply ask that you remove any small loose items from the floor before we commence the cleaning process.
Is it true that carpets and sofas get dirty quickly once they have been cleaned?
This is only a concern if inappropriate cleaning methods are used or there are sticky chemical residues left behind the carpet fibres or fabrics.
The Clean Rescue process doesn’t result in quicker soiling times.
Is there a risk of shrinkage?
As part of our pre-assessment we check your carpets and indetify their construction and check that they are correctly gripped if there is any concern.
Our cleaning process and machinery uses less moisture than standard and results in a 40-80% reduction in water usage and so over-wetting is avoided.
Will all the stains come out?
While we can’t guarantee all stains will be successfully removed, we have an 80% – 90% carpet stain removal success rate.
Unfortunately, some stains can prove to be permanent and we can advise if we have any concerns prior to commencing work.
